For life

The Emergency First Response course will allow you to help others in need and will prepare you for the unexpected. Are you dining in a restaurant and suddenly someone is choking on a piece of food? Are you jogging and out of nowhere your friends collapses to the floor? Did your little sister cut her finger? The EFR course will make sure you know how to act in any of these cases.

The course is divided into 2 main parts: Primary care and secondary care. In the first part you will learn how to act when confronted with a life threatening situation. You will learn skills such as assess a situation, conduct CPR and others. The second part of the course will show you how to conduct secondary care to a patient: apply a bandage, check for injuries, ...

As an emergency first responder your goal will be to help or stabilise a victim or patient as much as you can while contacting and waiting for professional help.

Although the topics handled in the course can be very serious indeed, the course is conducted in such a way that each and every topic or skill is fun to learn. People tend to remember things a lot longer when having fun while learning. Keeping things to serious might scare emergency first responders to apply what they have learned in a real life situation, too scared of making a mistake. In this course, we don't strive for perfection. Any help is better than no help at all!
