Padi Curriculum

On the right you can see the PADI curriculum.

Most of the people kick off with the Open Water Diver course. This course will allow you to go to 18m depth with any buddy.

For some people, a better and easier first step is the Scuba Diver course. This is basically the first half of the Open Water course, which upon completion will give you the right to go to 12m depth with a PADI professional.

As a second level course, most people choose to do the Advanced Open Water course. Here you will do 5 adventure dives: Deep, Navegation and three free to choose. The options are plentiful: Wreck dive, drift, night, PPB, scooter... Each adventure dive is the first dive of its specialty, so the Advanced course is a great way to feel where your preferences are. An Advanced Open Water certificate allows you to dive to 30m depth.

During the Rescue Diver course, you will learn how to react in emergency situations on and below the surface. This course is often given simultaneously with the EFR (Emergency First Response) course.

The highest level in recreational diving is the Master Scuba Diver level. To acquire this certificate you have to be a Rescue Diver and finish 5 specialties.

If you want to go professional or are just really interested and eager to learn more, you can do the Divemaster course. Here you will become a professional dive guide, equipped with a strong theoretical background and you will learn how to demonstrate skills to other divers.
